Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum (2nd largest non-profit cemetery in the US) on the north side of Cincinnati is celebrating their 175th Anniversary in 2020 with a special event weekend in late August and will not be repeating their annual History in Bloom event in April. So, we should have the entire cemetery and arboretum to ourselves for our auto tour through the 450 acres of hilly and winding roads, colorful flowering trees, shrubs, flowers, lakes, fountains and woods, which is not to be missed! Spring Grove is one of the most beautiful cemetery/arboretums you will ever visit and it is at its best in April!
Sunday Lunch:
Taft’s Ale House, Over-The-Rhine Historic District 2 PM, Cincinnati, OH.
After Spring Grove, we venture down to Taft’s Ale House for a late lunch at 2 pm in this amazing old restored German church in the Over-the-Rhine Historic District that has been converted into a brewpub with great beers and food (try the tri-tip steak sandwich!). We should all be done on Sunday by 3:00 pm with only a 90 minute (90 miles) drive back to I-465 and Indy.
