2022 Winery Tour

The 2022 edition of our annual Winery Tour is going to be a very different affair this year!
We’re turning the one day drive into a great weekend event with a great drive, picnic, wine, optional animals, restful overnight, and relaxation.
Everything except the end point of the Patoka Lake Winery is different from previous years.

For Saturday….
We have selected a route this year that incorporates some of our favorite sections of Indiana roads.
Our starting point will be the Plainfield Rest Area on westbound I-70 west of Indy.
Plan to arrive by 10:00 am for driver’s meeting with a 10:30 departure.
Pack your favorite picnic lunch as we will be stopping in Williams, IN for lunch in their Williams Dam Park along the East Fork of the White River.
We will be having plenty of potty breaks along the way as usual.
We should arrive at the Winery around 3:00 or so. (Depending on how long our stops take)
We have blocked out 5 rooms with the Winery for Saturday night. (Judy and I have the sixth)
Call Barbie at 812-685-2203 ext 1011 for a reservation and tell her you’re with the Porsche Club.
There is a wedding that weekend so sooner is better than later to make your reservation!
Room price is $79+tax!

The idea is if you don’t have to drive somewhere, you can enjoy all the wine you want!

The Winery Tour officially ends when we arrive at the winery.
Sunday……
As a great option to just driving home Sunday is making a stop at the Wilstem Wildlife Park east of French Lick.
Pam and Larry Clarino went through there last year as a Porsche Parade activity and highly recommend it. You can do a “drive through” or spend most of the day, your option. They have an amazing cross section of animals to view and interact with.
Prices for the Wildlife Park are: $21pp, $18 over 65 for the drive through.
We will be joining our Kentucky brothers and sisters Saturday like usual.
