Registration opens today Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 3 PM for the Fall PCA Treffen held at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia on September 16-20, 2020 at Treffen.pca.org. Note that the Spring PCA Treffen at The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado and this summer’s annual Porsche Parade at Palm Springs, California were both cancelled this year due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, so expect this Fall’s Treffen to sell out very quickly. As an example, the Fall, 2019 PCA Treffen at Woodstock, Vermont sold out in just 8 minutes online! My advice is to make sure your membership is up to date and you are already logged in before 3 PM on July 15 to www.pca.org using your PCA Login that came with your PCA Membership Card (you can’t register unless you are logged in – to prove you are a member in good standing) and be ready to click on “Registration” at the above Treffen website at 3 PM sharp and preview beforehand all the Activities listed on the Treffen website and know in advance what optional Tours you want to sign up for and any backup Tours you are also interested in, in case your first choice tours sellout. Also know your spouse or Co-Entrant’s jacket/vest size as this is usually the included Event Apparel for both Entrants and can hold up your registration. Additionally, check out in advance the Event Hotel information on the Treffen website and decide what type room you desire to register for as different type rooms can sell out fast. Note the Greenbrier Resort will not take PCA Member Treffen Hotel Reservations until you first become a registered Fall PCA Treffen Greenbrier Entrant – then you will receive a Registration Confirmation email with the Porsche Club Hotel Room registration link which will allow you to take advantage of the negotiated PCA Group Hotel Discount.
Updated info on the Fall PCA Treffen at The Greenbrier schedule, activities and hotel is now posted on the Treffen website above.
May 28 Update: The Treffen Registration Fee is $545/person and includes three full breakfasts at the Greenbrier Resort (Thursday thru Saturday), Wednesday late afternoon Reception, Thursday and Saturday evening Themed-Dinners and Friday Themed Social, Event Apparel for both Entrants and Treffen Goodie Bag, plus the organizational cost of putting on the Treffen. All optional Tours on Thursday thru Saturday are additional cost, but include lunch. So most of your meals are taken care of – if you sign up for tours everyday – except Wednesday and Friday evening dinners, which are free nights after the included Socials and then Sunday breakfast is on your own. Thursday has six different guided self-driving group tours to choose from that are repeated on Friday, so you have two chances to book your favorite driving tours. Saturday there are additionally four totally different guided group tours on “Navigators Day Off” to give navigators a day off to relax and just enjoy the tours – no driving required. Some of the Navigator’s Day Off Tours involve going to local attractions and others are onsite on the hotel grounds, but all include lunch. You can also get Route Instructions at the Greenbrier Treffen Info Desk for all the Guided Tours and take them at your leisure on your own for free, but it’s a lot more fun with the PCA group and you see more things you normally would not see on your own, thanks to your local sponsoring PCA Region member volunteer guides who know the area.
Front Circle Porsche Parking: You also have the option of being able to park your Porsche on the famous Greenbrier Front Circle from Wednesday to Sunday in a reserved assigned space for $100 and limited to the first 40 registrants who reserve this during Registration on July 15.
Good luck and see you at The Greenbrier Resort in mid-September! Brigitta and I can’t wait to go!
